Youth & Family Ministry
ABOUT US
PSD Youth & Family Ministry is the children, youth, & family ministry arm of the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We provide resources and training for youth and youth leaders as well as host youth events for pre-teen, jr. high, and high school youth. Additionally, we partner with Orange Nation to offer annual young adult servant events.
PSD Youth Ministry is made up of the District Youth Committee, Lutheran Youth Fellowship, and DCE's Etc. The ministry is staffed by Dr. Dave Rueter, Youth & Family Ministry Facilitator. Dave is a DCE with over two decades of ministry experience. Networking & Upcoming Events
Each year, under the supervision of the District Youth Committee (DYC), a series of youth events are offered to the congregations of the Pacific Southwest District. This is done for the following reasons:

To connect congregation, youth leaders, and youth themselves to one another in worship, learning, fellowship, and service.
To support and strengthen the ministry of the local congregation in their ministry to the youth in their midst.
To provide a point of connection and networking for professional and volunteer youth workers alike.

Whether you are a new volunteer or experienced veteran church worker, having knowledge of and access to the best, quality resources is critical. In the pages on this section of our site we hope to provide some resources that might be of help.
