AMORE - Arizona Minister of Religious Education

Purpose -For all DCE's, youth leaders, pastors, or anyone who works with youth in the state of Arizona. Let's face it, youth ministry is tough so we meet to pray for one another, support and encourage one another in this tough calling of working with youth. We grow in our own faith through Bible study, worship, and the Lord's Supper.

Meeting time- AMORE meets every 2nd Thursday at 10am at a different Arizona LCMS church. Each meeting lasts about 3 hours and includes lunch.
LAVA - Los Angeles-Ventura

Purpose: LAVA (Los Angeles Ventura Alliance) meets to encourage one another in ministry and plan events that we can do together. We are pretty laid back and don't really plan anything specific to do at our meetings.

Meeting: We generally meet the first Thursday of the month in Conejo Valley/Moorpark area around 11:00 a.m. for lunch. But are open to changing locations for a more central place to meet depending on who comes.

Joint Activities: We plan as many activities and retreats that we can together. So far we are doing a High School Summer Servant Event and a Jr. High summer retreat together. So we try to do retreats and activites as much as possible and try to invite the churches around us.

Orange County

Purpose- To learn, share, and support each other in our different ministry areas.

What we do- Meetings are informal over lunch and we share different thoughts, and ideas on the latest happenings in our churches.

When we meet-We meet every other month on a Thursday from Sept-June at different restaurants at 12pm in North to Central Orange County area.

Members- Currently we have active members from Irvine, Orange, Huntington Beach, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, and Lake Forest.

What we do – Have lunch, talk about ministry, life, maybe a book study

DCE's Etc. of SoCal

Purpose-DCE's Etc. of SoCal meets monthly, September through June, gathering all clusters in the Southern California area together for growth, support, and fellowship.

What we do- Each month we gather together starting at 9:30 am for a time of devotion or Bible Study. Then often we host a speaker or one of the local clusters leads a discussion on a topic related to our ministries. Finally we share calendar items of events local churches or clusters are hosting that others can take part in. This is followed by lunch at a local restaurant for those able to stick around.
