Ministry in the 21st Century is not what it was even 20 years ago.  The challenges presented by changes in and around our congregations have a real impact on the needs of congregations as well as their ability to respond to those needs.  

The documents below have been developed to assist congregations in evaluating whether to call and in calling a Director of Christian Education.
 
We, the Pacific Southwest District School Ministries staff, are here to encourage and assist you through this process. This document will get you started.
 
The information provided in this packet will help enhance your understanding of the nature of DCE ministry as well as equip you with information about and resources for the call process for a DCE.   
 
Whether you are seeking to fill a DCE position previously held by another or establishing DCE ministry for the first time expanding ministry through the calling of a DCE can be an exciting prospect.  Engaging your congregation in prayer for the leadership of your congregation as they seek God’s will is essential.
